Ryan and Frank began operating Benson's pet shop in Saratoga Springs in October of 1992 in the now nonexistent Saratoga mall. In 1996 we opened our location in Clifton Park. In 1998 we opened in Colonie and in 2000 we opened in Queensbury. Although we have expanded and grown our idea has remained unchanged. Our concept has always been to have a place where anyone can shop for their furry, feathery and scaly friends, a place where animals and customers come first.
